Joe Fallon lines up films, cliff divers to show off area By Greg Turner |  http://www.bostonherald.com Fan Pier will have plenty of fanfare this summer. Developer Joe Fallon next month will launch monthly screenings of family-friendly films on the public green between One Marina Park Drive and the Institute of Contemporary Art. In August, he’ll bring back the Red Bull cliff-diving tour, a spectacle in which performers plunge off the cantilevered ICA building into the harbor 80 feet below. “The summer activities will only be getting better,” he said. Douglas Developer Joseph Fallon used Wednesday’s groundbreaking ceremony for Vertex Pharmaceuticals new campus in South Boston to publicly reaffirm his plans to select an architect by the end of the year for a planned residential complex on Fan Pier — right behind the site where Vertex will set up shop. Speaking at the lavish ground-breaking ceremony for Vertex, Fallon said his company would be selecting an architect at the end of the year to begin work on a 200-condominium, 225,000-square-foot residential development.
